I would get GroupMe texts via text messages. I did this for a mission trip group which died down over time. After camp, I was added to multiple new groups and I would get the messages through text as well. Every time I wanted to see an emoji, picture, or etc., I would have to click on a link. And I couldn’t send emojis. I would get reminders about how many texts I was sending. I finally decided to get the app.
It is easy to use. You can make memes and send as many texts as you want. Without wifi, somehow I get the yet notifications but I can’t re-access or reply to them without wifi. You can’t delete messages, only archive them.
It has its it’s perks, and its negatives.
