“Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.” (Anton Chekhov).
A few weeks ago, I was working on my novel. Since I really want to be published one day, I was doing research to try to help my story be really, really good. I was reminded of the writing trick “show, don’t tell.” Since I am still an amateur, unpublished writer, I wasn’t sure how to do this. I tried to figure it out, and this quote was suggested. Not only is it poetic and has the most beautiful wording, but it is also extremely profound.
What’s your novel about?

I’m still working out the details (mainly what the quest or main adventure is in the first novel) but the one word that would describe it is “time.”

“Time” would be quite a good title.
